Privacy Policy

Last updated September 9, 2026

This policy explains what personal information [LEGAL ENTITY NAME — TO BE CONFIRMED] ("Get Garage Done", "we", "us") collects through getgaragedone.com, why we collect it, who it is shared with, and how you can have it removed.

It applies to this website only.

Information you give us

The only form on this site is the assessment request. When you submit it, we collect:

  • Your name.
  • Your phone number.
  • Your email address.
  • Anything you write in the optional comment box — for example the size of your garage or the best time to call.

All four fields are sent to us by email so that we can contact you and arrange a free 15-minute on-site assessment. We ask for nothing else, and we do not collect payment details through this website.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, this one collects some technical information about your visit:

  • Google Analytics 4 records which pages you view, how you arrived, and general details about your browser, device and approximate location. It uses cookies to do this. Your IP address is truncated by Google before it is stored.
  • When you submit the assessment form, our server briefly holds your IP address in memory — for less than a minute — to stop automated scripts from flooding the form. It is not written to a database or linked to your enquiry.
  • Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs. If an assessment request fails to send, the details you submitted are written to those logs so the enquiry is not simply lost, and we retrieve and delete them when that happens.

How we use your information

We use the details from the assessment form to contact you about your enquiry, to arrange and carry out the assessment, and to quote and deliver the service if you go ahead. That is the whole purpose.

We do not sell your personal information, we do not rent or trade it, and we do not add you to a marketing list. If you become a customer and we ever want to send you something beyond the work you have booked, we will ask you first.

When we may contact you

By submitting the assessment form you are asking us to get in touch, so we may contact you by phone or email about your enquiry. We will stop as soon as you ask us to — reply to any email, tell us on the phone, or write to us at the address below.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the service providers that make this website and our email work. They act on our instructions and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes:

  • Resend — delivers the assessment request to our inbox. Message content passes through and is retained briefly in their system.
  • Vercel — hosts this website and runs the code that handles the form.
  • Google Analytics — measures site traffic, as described above.
  • Our email provider — where assessment requests arrive and are read.

The explainer video on this site is hosted by YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode, so YouTube does not set tracking cookies unless you press play.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, safety or property.

Cookies, analytics and Do Not Track

This site uses cookies for Google Analytics. It does not use advertising cookies, and we do not run remarketing.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics entirely by installing Google’s official browser opt-out add-on. The site works normally either way.

Do Not Track: there is still no agreed industry standard for how a website should respond to a browser’s Do Not Track signal, so this site does not respond to it. Google Analytics is the only third party that collects information about your activity here, and it may combine that with information about your activity on other sites that use its services.

How long we keep it

If you request an assessment and do not become a customer, we keep your enquiry for up to 24 months and then delete it. If you do become a customer, we keep the records connected with the work for as long as we need them for tax, warranty and accounting purposes.

You can ask us to delete your information sooner. See below.

Your choices

Write to [email protected] and you can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct anything that is wrong.
  • Delete your information.
  • Stop contacting you.

We will respond as quickly as we reasonably can. We may need to confirm your identity first, so that we are not handing your details to someone else.

California residents

We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right.

California residents can make the requests listed above at [email protected], whether or not the CCPA applies to us.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS, and the assessment form is transmitted encrypted. Our providers are established services with their own security programmes. No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security — but we do not keep more than we need, which is the most effective protection available to a business this size.

Children

This site is meant for adults arranging work on their own property. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Where the change is significant, we will say so on the page rather than expecting you to notice a new date.
