Terms of Service
Last updated September 9, 2026
These terms apply to this website and to the one-day garage transformation service provided by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME — TO BE CONFIRMED] ("Get Garage Done", "we", "us") in the Sacramento area and the San Francisco Bay Area.
Using this site means you accept these terms. Booking work with us means you accept them and the written contract we give you before any work starts.
The service
A Get Garage Done transformation clears out a garage, deep cleans it, refreshes the walls, upgrades the lighting, installs a ready-made storage system, and catalogs the contents into a searchable app.
It is a product with three standard designs, not a custom build. We adapt the configuration to your garage and to what you store, within a standard set of options. If you need something fully bespoke, we will say so rather than take the booking.
What we do not do
We work with the garage you already have. The following are outside the service, and we will tell you at the assessment if what you want falls into it:
- Rebuilding, moving or removing walls, or any change to the structure of the building.
- Plumbing, flooring and roofing.
- Any work that requires a building permit.
- Anything requiring a trade licence we do not hold at the time of the work.
If your garage needs work of that kind before a transformation makes sense, we will tell you at the assessment rather than partway through the day.
Assessments and quotes
The 15-minute on-site assessment is free and carries no obligation. It exists because the price depends on things that cannot be judged from photographs — the size of the garage, the volume of items, and the condition of the space.
We do not give a binding price before that visit. Any figure shown on this website or in our advertising describes a standard 2-car garage and is indicative only — a description of the service, not a quote.
Your price is the figure we give you at the assessment. Once it is agreed and set out in your written contract it is fixed for the scope agreed there, and it does not change afterwards unless you ask us to change the scope in writing. Larger garages, unusually high item volumes and non-standard spaces are quoted individually, from the same three standard designs.
Booking, access and scheduling
To do the work in a day we need clear access to the garage from the agreed start time, working power, and somewhere to stage items during the sort. You will need to be reachable during the day to make decisions about your belongings, though you do not have to be present the whole time.
If we cannot start on time or cannot get access, we may have to reschedule, and a day that starts late may not finish in a day.
We may reschedule for weather, illness or something outside our control. We will tell you as early as we can and agree a new date at no extra cost.
Your belongings, and items we take away
Nothing leaves your garage without your confirmation. We identify what could be donated or discarded, you decide, and the decision is recorded in the app before anything is collected.
Please read this part carefully:
- Once you confirm an item for removal and it leaves your property, ownership of it passes to us or to the recipient charity, and it cannot be returned or recovered.
- We are not able to search a donation or disposal load after collection.
- The service includes one pickup load, on setup day or within the following 30 days.
- Some items cannot be accepted at all: hazardous waste, paint, solvents, fuels, batteries, tyres, ammunition and anything else a licensed disposal site will not take. We will point these out and leave them with you.
Tell us before the day about anything of unusual value, anything fragile, and anything sentimental, and we will handle it separately or leave it untouched. Please remove cash, jewellery, documents and irreplaceable items from the garage before we arrive.
The one-day commitment
A standard 2-car garage is done in a day, and the day is what we hold to. If a garage turns out not to take the full scope in the time available, the scope gives way rather than the timeline — we agree with you on the day what is completed and what is left, and we do not charge more for the difference.
The app and your inventory
The digital inventory is provided with the transformation. Items are photographed, tagged and pinned to a location, and you get access for your household.
We build the inventory carefully but it is a record, not a guarantee: it describes items as they were catalogued on the day, and it will drift as your household moves things. It is not an appraisal, a valuation, or a substitute for an insurance schedule.
Your inventory data is yours. What we do with it is covered in the Privacy Policy.
Payment
Payment terms are set out in the written contract you receive before work begins. The price quoted at your assessment is the price you pay for the scope agreed there; changes to scope are agreed in writing before they are carried out.
Cancellation
You may cancel a booking for work on your home within three business days of signing the contract, and you will receive the notice explaining that right with the contract itself, as California law requires.
After that, tell us as early as you can. Because we hold a full crew day for each booking, a cancellation at very short notice may incur a charge, which will be set out in your contract. There is never a charge for cancelling before you sign.
Damage and liability
We take care in your home, and we are responsible for damage we cause through our own negligence. Tell us about any damage as soon as you notice it and in any event within 7 days of the work, so that we can look at it while the circumstances are clear.
We are not responsible for pre-existing damage or wear, for defects in the building itself, for items that were already damaged or deteriorating in storage, or for loss you could have avoided by telling us about an item in advance.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability in connection with the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Storage systems
The storage we install is ready-made product from our standard range, and it carries the manufacturer’s warranty. We will pass those details to you at handover. Our own workmanship on the installation is warranted for one year.
Weight limits matter: every shelf, rack and mount has a rated capacity, we will tell you what it is at handover, and loading beyond it is outside the warranty and unsafe.
This website
The content on this website is provided for information. Photographs are of representative work and of our standard designs; your garage will differ. We keep the site accurate but do not warrant that it is free of error, and we may change the service, the designs or the price at any time — a change never affects a price already quoted to you at an assessment.
The text, photographs, designs and logos on this site belong to us and may not be copied or reused without permission.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the State of California, and the courts of California have jurisdiction over any dispute. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
